ARCHY is a powerful and versatile acquisition software, for image storage and retrieval. It is designed to assist you in the management of large and small collections of images making it possible for you to easily and quickly retrieve what you want when you want it.
NOT ONLY
A DATABASE…
The
basic concept of Archy is the catalog. It’s the logical unit under
which all the images are gathered and archived. Archy is
a complex database composed of:
The
original image can be stored in different formats. You can select to store images
in formats that allow compression without loss of quality, or formats
that allow only a slight loss of quality but produce a notable saving
of disk space. The
Archy database is completely definable. You determine
both the number of fields used and their placement in the window. Archy allows the storage
of information from just a few words to information consisting of
thousands of words. Search functions allow fast
and easy retrieving of the required images. Boolean operators can
be used to combine search conditions for more advanced searches.
The Quick searches are possible because Archy uses a preview (thumbnail)
image instead of the original image during the search thus allowing
a notable savings in time. Using
the thumbnail images, it is possible to view up to 200 images on
one page. Selection of the image is as simple as clicking your mouse
on the one you want and pressing export. With this software, you can store as many images as desired. Its only limitation is your storage media capacity.
SOURCE
OF IMAGES
The images in the catalog can come from any source that produces a PAL, SECAM or NTSC video signal including television cameras. You can also use scanners or other devices that adhere to the TWAIN standards for documents, negative films, and slides. ARCHY can also import image files generated by other systems.
A complete
set of functions for image enhancement and modification allows you:
Archy
is capable of exporting files for use by applications like CorelDraw,
WinWord, and other word processors. Archy’s Slide
Show feature allows you to create a smart slide show and present
it using Archy’s slide projector capabilities. The
open architecture of Archy allows easy combining of this software
with numerous accessories, such as laser or sublimation dye printers
or digital film recorders. You can personalize press
sheets, place images and text exactly where you want them, and produce
high quality photo images, thanks to its powerful algorithms. Separate Archy software can be connected in a LAN, allowing the distribution of image collections and expensive resources among different users. With Archy, you can review previously acquired images and along with acquiring new ones.
